Dr. Joseph Soufer is the CEO and Medical Director at Chase Medical Research, LLC. He devotes most of his time to clinical trial research, and has been instrumental in setting the vision of the organization over the past ten years. He has been the principal investigator or subinvestigator on over 200 clinical trials, ranging from diabetes, obesity, women’s health, Alzheimer’s disease, over active bladder, metabolic disorders, pain management, constipation, erectile dysfunction,and cardiovascular disease. He also has an endocrinology and internal medicine practice with ProHealth Physicians, which is Connecticut’s leading primary care physician organization, serving the medical needs of nearly 350,000 of the state’s residents.

A graduate of University of Bruxelles Medical School in Belgium, he did his internship and residency at The Hospital of St. Raphael in New Haven, Connecticut. Dr. Soufer then went on to complete a fellowship in Endocrinology at New York City’s Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. He has hospital privileges at St. Mary’s Hospital and Waterbury Hospital and Medical Center, both in Waterbury, CT.
